Oslo Fjord Exploration: Day Trip with Island Landing
Welcome aboard for a great day out on the water!
Available as a 6 or 8 hour experience.
We start this adventure with a gentle cruise of the beautiful Oslo waterfront passing all of the main sights, including Oslo City Hall, the Akershus Fortress, Bjørvika with the fabulous Oslo Opera house and Edward Munch Museum.
Continuing past Sørenga, we will proceed to take in the views of some of the picturesque islands of the inner Harbour area, including Hovedøya, Bleikøya, Gressholmen, Langøyene and Lindøya, before we pick up the pace and set course for an island landing on one of the many islands outside Sandvika where the afternoon is enjoyed bathing, relaxing, and enjoying a picnic which you brought along, or your skipper arranged for your (on request).
Alternatively, and weather permitting, we could go as far out as Håøya to visit the very friendly cashmere goats who spend there summers there, or to the Oscarborg fortress and learn about what happened there when Norway was invaded April 9th 1940. On our way there we may catch a glimpse of sea eagles and seals. Even porpoise and dolphins are known to be spotted out here!
Choices are many for this daytrip, and your skipper will be happy to accomodate any special requests.
Eventually, we'll have to turn the bow north towards Oslo and enjoy the Oslofjord sunset as we make our way back to the city.
Getting closer, we wiill pass the iconic Dyna Fyr, Tjuvholmen with the Astrup Fearnley museum, and Aker Brygge before we disembark at our final destination in front of the Oslo City Hall.
